Our Coaches

Mark and Allie Barker

Founders

We started this gym in 2012 with 2 simple goals:
1. Provide high quality coaching and guidance to our local community in order to improve overall health and wellness.
2. Help people create a path to success, and build a healthy relationship with nutrition, exercise, and fitness.

Mark

Head Coach

Mark has lifelong experience of training and coaching individuals and groups that range from youth to elders, with wide ranges of ability levels. He has a background in multiple sports and training modalities and has learned to use and adapt them to anyone based on their goals, needs, and preferences. He coaches people in boxing, kickboxing, strength, conditioning, and mobility. Much of his experience is centered around helping people train without pain, building self-confidence, and finding a path to success.

AJ

Coach

Toye Jackman aka "AJ". She is a retired Veteran of the United States Army after having meritoriously served over 20 years in the dental & human resources fields. She holds a Masters Degree in Sports Nutrition and an Associates Degree in Exercise Science from Nova Southeastern University and Keiser University, respectively. She has dedicated her second career in nutrition & strength training to helping people achieve their goals through a heartfelt, steadfast, no-nonsense approach to training. When AJ isn't training people towards being their best selves, she's enjoying her family and pets and traveling to tropical places! "When you're consistent with anything, it shows on one end of the spectrum or the other."

Carlos

Coach

Coach Carlos started his time at Raw Kickboxing as a member, learning the fundamentals of boxing. With a passion to help others, he was given the chance to take what he has learned to teach others about the "sweet science". Carlos has his Level one Box n Burn certification. He is currently working on getting his Degree in Computer Animation at Lynn University. You can usually find him at Raw gathering members for pictures and selfies!

Roman

Coach

Roman is a highly accomplished NCSF Certified Personal Trainer with over 10 years of elite competitive powerlifting experience at the National level. As a graduate of Florida International University (FIU), he served as Captain of the FIU Powerlifting Team, where his exceptional leadership and expertise led the team to multiple State Championship titles for both team and individual competitors. Roman's dedication to strength training, technique, and performance optimization has solidified his reputation as a trusted coach and mentor in the powerlifting community. When he's not setting personal records or helping others unlock their potential, Roman channels his creativity into music production, explores immersive worlds through video games, and finds inspiration in his favorite anime series.

Amani

Coach

Amani started out as a member 7 years ago and is now a personal and group class trainer. What started as a personal journey to improve health and fitness has evolved into a mission to help others achieve their goals. With a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from Nova Southeastern University and currently working toward her Master's in Sports Science, she combines her deep understanding of psychology and behavioral health with her love for fitness. This unique blend allows her to offer a holistic approach that not only focuses on physical transformation but also addresses the mental and emotional aspects of health. She believes in a balanced, sustainable approach to fitness that emphasizes progress, consistency, and mindset. Whether you're looking to learn a new skill, build strength, or simply feel better in your own skin, Amani is dedicated to guiding you every step of the way!

Charity

Coach

Charity has been a natural Pro competitive body builder and trainer for over 7 years. Growing up playing sports year-round has led her to be passionate about fitness both personally and professionally as she inspires others to reach their fitness goals. Graduating with a BS in Biology, and a Master's in nursing education, she has found that teaching others to help them reach their aspirations along their fitness journey is rewarding and fulfilling. She feels blessed to be able to impact and improve others' overall health, wellness, and lifestyle.

John

Coach

John is a former all-American HBCU football player and current amateur MMA and kickboxing fighter. He boasts 7 years of group fitness and personal training experience. He loves seeing and helping others attain what previously seemed unachievable. John is always ready to bring the energy whether it is 6 am or 6 pm, he is ready to rock!

Lauren

Coach

Lauren started her fitness journey with Raw Kickboxing over 10 years ago and is now an Assistant Coach for RockSteady Boxing. With experience in training as long-time member and a passion for helping others, she is committed to supporting individuals with Parkinson's disease in improving their strength, mobility, and confidence through boxing. Lauren's coaching approach is centered on motivation, personalized care, and creating a positive environment for every participant. You can find her around the gym most days, whether she is training herself or helping around the gym.

Advanced Gym Equipment

At Raw Kickboxing and Fitness, we pride ourselves on providing state of the art equipment to ensure our athletes achieve their health and fitness goals. Our facility is equipped with Dynamic barbells, Concept2 Skiergs, and Assault AirBikes to enhance your strength training. Our programming centers around functional movements are will include sandbags, sled work, kettlebells, medicine balls, and dumbbells. Our kickboxing area is equipped with Outslayer Heavy bags, as well as aqua bags, and speed bags.

Unique Features and Facilities

Raw Kickboxing and Fitness boasts a spacious open-layout facility designed to maximize your training experience. This includes a matted area dedicated to our boxing and kickboxing training, specialized turf section for sled work as well as mobility exercises. Our Dynamic rig is utilized for our strength and conditioning classes and our specialized strength workshops.
